We’re a group who want to promote good and productive orchard management in and around the Towy valley
Philip Giles James Organiser
We’re trying to make things better for anyone who has an interest in apples and pears – fruit tree owners, local consumers, children and people with spare time
We do this by having weekly practical sessions in our orchard, seasonal events; activities like harvesting, pressing, cider club, grafting, skills workshops, orchard open days, walks and information
Volunteering opportunity
Anyone can volunteer. Full training given. We meet every Tuesday morning 9.30 to 13.00 and on other days as seasonal tasks occur eg. pruning; harvesting; processing; haymaking. We also have a monthly cider club meeting – 1st Tuesday of each month at 6.30 pm – various venues – sometimes in members orchards. Volunteers need to wear clothing to suit the weather – we meet all year round, but have indoor space for inclement weather.
