Autism Wellbeing
www.autismwellbeing.org.uk
Earlier this year we received a grant to produce a support pack about Covid-19 for families affected by autism in Carmarthenshire (e.g. any of the family members may be autistic) It can be downloaded for free https://www.autismwellbeing.org.uk/product-page/autism-wellbeing-covid-19-support-pack
We also have Facebook based peer support groups (private groups) for parents/carers of autistic people and for autistic people. There are many autistic parents who are in both groups. We also have a resources group with 50+ downloadable resources related to autism and Covid-19. Everything from coping with masks, to fun activities. Our most recent work has been to produce help sheets about the vaccine, and a film that is being shared widely across Wales. In fact, the National Autism Team have shared it, as well as the medical director of Hywel Dda. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=237038501111272 We have an information sheet about autism for professionals administering the vaccine that is available in Welsh.

Pharmacies
During this unprecedented time, we can all help to support our pharmacists and their teams by following these five steps:
- 1. Do not visit a pharmacy if you or someone you live with has a temperature or a new cough 🤒
- 2. Order your prescriptions 7 days before you need them to give the pharmacy time to help everyone. 7️⃣
- 3. Put your phone number on your prescription. Wait for the pharmacy to call you. The pharmacy will phone you when your prescription is ready to pick up. Do not call the pharmacy unless it is very urgent. ☎️
- 4. If you are staying at home because you have a new cough or temperature get friends or family to pick up your prescriptions or speak to your community pharmacy to see if they can help. 🏠
- 5. If you are not ill, offer to pick up prescriptions for any friends and family who are ill. You will need their name and address to be able to pick up their prescription. 💙

Here is an online survey by a social psychologist based at Kingston University examining the short-term and longer-term effects of participation in COVID-19 mutual aid networks such as this one. It would be massively appreciated if you could take the time to complete this survey at this link and circulate within your WhatsApp groups: tiny.cc/covidmutualaidstudy
