Carreg Cennen Castle

We are delighted to be able to welcome you back to Carreg Cennen!

From Monday July 6th, in line with Welsh Government guidelines the Castle will re-open. From 9.30am until 5.30pm daily you will be able to purchase a ticket and explore all the areas of the monument where social distancing rules can be followed (the cave and the ‘lords chamber’ viewing platform will remain closed for now.)

The Tearooms will also be open for takeaway refreshments from 11am until 4pm. Our takeaway menu will be available on our website and you’re welcome to phone and pre-order.

We’re doing a number of things to help keep you safe whilst you visit, including providing hand sanitising facilities. The number of people allowed into the Craft Shop and Tearooms will be limited and we’ve added an acrylic screen to our serving counter. There will be signage across the site to help visitors and staff respect social distancing.

You’ll also be able to enjoy the footpaths around the Castle from Monday, but these are narrow in parts so please give way to other walkers where necessary.

Finally, we ask that all visitors respect our local community, staff, and each other, and only travel to the area if you are well.
